U16 NPS Race

January 7, 2025 - SBA’s Sawyer Stever was chosen to represent the Western Region at the U16 National Performance Series races in Burke, Vermont during the first week of January. This race series is comprised of a small group of some of the highest performing U16s from around the country going head to head, racing for a chance to represent the United States at various international children's races later this season in Europe. Sawyer skied himself into 8th place in the first GS despite extreme cold and icy east coast conditions, rising above other teammates from the Western Region and displaying the level of pace and intensity the SBA U16 Mens team holds and is capable of. Getting selected for this opportunity is an honor and a huge recognition of an athlete's pace but also quality skiing skills. If this result is any sort of bellwether for U16 Nationals this spring, we can expect to see some great skiing and hopefully fantastic results.
