Alpine U14 at Palisades
January 10-12, 2025 - The U14 program participated in their first race series of the season at Palisades Tahoe, skiing one day of GS and two days of Slalom. Despite a holiday break with many weather-related challenges, all of our U14s skied well in their first weekend of competition.
Amelia Allen led SBA with a 21st place in Women’s GS on Friday, and Ollie Brown finished in 10th place in the Men’s GS. He was followed closely by Nicholas Coburn in 11th and Andy Doiron in 12th.
Amelia Allen again led the SBA women with a 20th place finish in Slalom on Saturday. In the Men’s Slalom, Landon Gray finished 7th, Ollie Brown in 8th, and two SBA athletes - Nicholas Coburn and Michael Teytelman - tied for 11th. Vinnie DiLuna finished in 13th and Niko Beevor in 14th, giving SBA 7 of the top 20 finishers.
Maeva Mahlmann finished in 18th in Women’s Slalom on Monday, with Amelia Allen taking 19th, Vivienne Wood in 23rd, and Charlote Fifield in 24th. Vinnie DiLuna lead the SBA Men’s team finished 11th, followed by Andy Doiron in 14th, Lancelot Kopatsy 15th, and Clark Schwall in 19th.
Overall, it was a very strong weekend for the U14 group. We are extremely proud of our team that traveled to Palisades to compete.
