Join us for an unforgettable summer training experience at Sugar Bowl Academy’s Cross Country Summer Development Camp! Designed for motivated young athletes, this camp blends high-altitude training, skill development, and adventure in the stunning mountains of the Sierra Nevada.

This is not just a training camp—it’s a journey into the wild! Campers will hike to breathtaking peaks, ride mountain trails on bikes, swim in alpine lakes, and push their limits in one of the most beautiful natural settings in California.

Located at 6,700 feet in the heart of the Sugar Bowl Resort, campers will train in pristine nature while building fitness, confidence, and friendships.

Daily Schedule

8:00 am - Participant check-in

8:30 am - Morning training session (mountain hikes, trail running, ski simulation, adventure outings)

11:30 am - Lunch and relaxation

12:30 - Rest and recovery time

1:30 pm - Afternoon training session (strength training, swimming, active games, mountain biking on scenic trail)

3:30 pm - Closing circle

4:00 pm - Camp pickup

What to Bring

  • Mountain bike and helmet (required for biking sessions)

  • High visibility clothing for cycling

  • Swimsuit and towel

  • Sunscreen and hat

  • Two pairs of running shoes

  • Training clothes for various weather conditions

  • Hydration pack or water bottle

  • Energy snacks
