No academic programs during the recess.
Monday, December 23, Thursday, December 26 through Sunday, December 29 - All Teams
All downhill teams will train full days Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Athletes ages 7 and up should be outside Village Hall ready to ski by 8:45 am. Athletes ages 5-6 should be outside Village Hall ready to to ski by 9:15 am. Cross Country will continue with a half day schedule.
Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 - SBA Holidays
SBA will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with no academic or athletic programs.
Thursday, December 26 through Monday, January 1 - Village Hall 2nd Floor Closed
The upstairs of Village Hall will be closed to all team athletes and families due to scheduled events. If you bring your lunch, you are welcome to eat in Rathskeller (the lower level under Nob Hill Café) or the lower level of the Mid-Mountain Lodge. Thank you for your flexibility this week!
Saturday, December 28 - Alumni Race
Our SBA alumni are returning for an alumni race on Saturday.
Saturday, December 28 - Village Ball
Village Ball is an annual event for Sugar Bowl villagers that benefits Sugar Bowl Academy and our athletes.

FIS Men’s and Women’s Team Results - Dec 17-20
Our FIS Men and Women were in Panorama, Canada last week with Slalom and GS races. Carl Ottosson led the men’s team in GS on December 17, finishing 18th overall and first in 18 and under. SBA pace setter Matej Vidovic took second overall in Friday’s slalom race. Carl Ottosson also finished 13th overall and 3rd in 18 and under and Lucas Ottoni finished 32nd overall and 10th in 18 and under on Friday.

Sophie Skytta led the women’s team, finishing 37th overall and 16th in 18 and under in Thursday’s slalom race. Ava Bradford also finished in the top 20 in 18 and under in GS on December 17 and December 18.

Apine U16 Men Dominate Far West U16+ Open at Mammoth on December 21
Our Alpine U16 men’s team dominated for the second weekend in a row at the Far West U16+ Open at Mammoth on Saturday, December 21! SBA athletes took 6 of the top 10 overall in the men’s U16+ GS race, with Sawyer Stever finishing in 1st place, followed by Ryan Russo in 2nd and Jameson Pfeister in 4th. Ethan Cohen earned the hard charger award in Saturday’s men’s race. The women’s team also had a strong showing on Saturday, with Meila Ayers taking 4th overall and 3 SBA teammates in the top 20. Sunday’s race was canceled due to weather.
