Sugar Bowl is hosting the Far West U12 Super G at Sugar Bowl next weekend. If you’re able to help, please sign up to volunteer and come out and cheer on our Alpine U12 athletes!

Registration for 2026 Athletic Teams Now Open

Registration for next season’s team program is now available to returning families. Registration will open to new families on Wednesday, March 5. We expect full rosters next season, so please register as soon as you are able to and take advantage of a $250 discount if you register by March 20. Please note that we are restructuring our Cross Country program and registration for that will be available soon.

Academics

The SBA Class of 2025 has now accumulated over $1.5 million in scholarship awards! Seniors will receive their remaining admissions decisions this month. Once seniors have decided on their college, we will highlight their achievements for the entire community to celebrate. Their futures are so bright!

Our teams are having an incredible season!

Alpine FIS Men and Women - Palisades Tahoe

Our FIS Men and Women competed at Palisades Tahoe last weekend with a 2 x Slalom and 2 x GS series. Here are the highlights:

  • Carl Ottosson took 1st overall in GS and 2nd overall in Slalom, beating out a competitive field and earning his personal best FIS points in GS.

  • Vivaan Alleen had 2 second place finishes in Slalom for U18 and a third place finish in GS for U18.

  • Aaron Leopold had 4 top 10 finishes for U18 in both GS and Slalom.

  • Sophie Skytta took first in all four races for U18 and finished third overall in Wednesday’s Slalom race.

  • Eloise Rogers finished second in U18 and 10th overall in Tuesday’s GS race.

Alpine U16 Far West Qualifier at Sugar Bowl

Our U16 Men and Women competed in the third and final Far West Qualifier at Sugar Bowl last week with a 3 x GS race. Here are the highlights:

  • SBA men had 5 of the top 10 finishers on Monday, 6 of the top 10 on Tuesday, and 3 of the top 10 on Wednesday.

  • Sawyer Stever finished first on Tuesday, second on Wednesday, and fourth on Monday. Seb Atra finished second on Tuesday and third on Monday and Wednesday.

  • Ryan Russo, Jameson Pfeister, Jackson Fossum, Jonah Peyzner, and Mason Ayers also had top 10 finishes in the series.

  • SBA women had 4 in the top 25 on Monday, 2 in the top 20 on Tuesday, and 3 in the top 25 on Wednesday.

  • Meila Ayers had two top 10 finishes and Jaidyn Service 3 top 20 finishes.

Alpine U10 at Mt Rose

Our Alpine U10 team had a great showing at Mt Rose on Sunday in rather blustery conditions. The coaching staff is very proud of the entire team!

  • Will Keatley took the top spot for U8 men.

  • Addie Grimes finished 2nd in U8 and Jenny Voutov had her best finish yet with the 4th spot in U10.

USASA Slopestyle at Sugar Bowl & GS/Slalom at Boreal

  • Snowboarder Owen Squires picked up 2nd in his age group, and Dutch Bones and Finn Cullerton both finished in 3rd place in their respective age group.

  • Tucker Althof finished in first place in 11-12 year old men.

  • Oliver Coffey finished in second place in 13-14 year old men.

  • Justin La Bar took first in both the Snowboard GS and Slalom at Boreal. Owen Squires took second in both events.

  • Payton Borisoff finished first in both Snowbard GS and Slalom.

Freeride Crystal Mountain 3*

We had a huge crew of athletes at Crystal Mountain 3* nationals with incredible results. Here are the highlights:

  • Liam Coyle took 4th in men’s U15, followed by Baker Cashel in 7th.

  • Ava Fox finished in 5th in women’s U15.

  • Lily Cutler finished 2nd in women’s U19.

  • Justin La Bar finished in 1st in men’s snowboard and Tessa Cullerton finished in 3rd in women’s snowboard.
