Stephen McMahon

Executive Director & Head of School

Stephen brings deep experience in education and operational leadership to SBA, and his family has been coming to Sugar Bowl and Donner Summit since he was a child. Prior to joining SBA, Stephen was the Deputy Superintendent for a large urban school district in the Bay Area. Stephen’s leadership and innovation prompted widespread recognition of the district’s financial stability, positive labor relations, and voter approval. Stephen’s attention to detail, commitment to excellent customer service, and desire to serve students and their families provides a strong foundation for SBA. Stephen started his career as a math teacher in middle and high school.
