Alpine U14 Plus Open at Palisades
March 8-9, 2025 - Our Alpine U16 and U14 teams competed at the Palisades Open with a GS race on Saturday and a Slalom race on Sunday. This race included athletes ages 12 and up, deepening the competitive field for our younger athletes.
Meila Ayers led the SBA women on Saturday in 5th place overall and 4th in U16 in the GS race, followed by Liv Mahoney in 20th overall and 17th in U16 and Adrienne McMahon in 24th overall and 21st in U16. Maeva Mahlmann finished 17th in U14s, followed by Amelia Allen in 19th in U14.
Jaidyn Service led the SBA women on Sunday with a 9th place finish, followed by Adrienne McMahon in 12th and Ari Redwin in 19th. Amelia Allen finished 10th in U14s, followed by Maeva Mahlmann in 12th in U14.
SBA men had 6 of the top 10 overall finishes in the GS race and 6 of the top 10 in U16, with Sawyer Stever in 5th overall and 2nd in U16, Jameson Pfeister in 6th overall and 3rd in U16, Jackson Fossum in 7th overall and 4th in U16, Jonah Peyzner in 8th overall and 5th in U16, Zach Beevor (FIS) in 9th overall, and Mason Ayers in 10th overall and 6th in U16, and Ryan Russo in 12th overall and 8th in U16. Noah Jacques finished 8th in U14, followed by Andy Doiron in 12th in U14.
SBA U16 men swept the podium in the Slalom race, with SBA claiming the top 6 finishes in U16 and 7 of the top 10 finishes overall in the Slalom race. Sawyer Stever finished in 4th overall and 1st in U16, Seb Atra and Adam Brown tied for 5th overall and Seb in 2nd in U16, Jonah Peyzner in 7th overall and 3rd in U16, Ryan Russo in 8th overall and 4th in U16, Chilly Walker in 9th overall, Gabriel Park in 10th overall and 5th in U16, and Loenn Hevin in 11th overall and 6th in U16. Noah Jacques finished 6th in U14, followed by Niko Beevor in 10th in U14.
