We serve the next generation of great students and athletes who demonstrate grit, grace, and courage on the mountain, inside the classroom, and in life.
Our programs accept students ages 5-18 who share our dedication to excellence in athletics and want to grow personally as they prepare for their athletic careers and college.
Sugar Bowl Village is the only snowbound village in the United States. Athletics and academics are both on the mountain, which provides easy transitions between training and coursework and ski-in/ski-out access.
Programs
We offer programs for athletes ages 5-19. Our integrated program allows athletes to ski or board primarily on weekends and holidays or combine world-class athletics and college preparatory academics together for year-round training. The progression of programs introduces more intensive training options as athletes reach junior and high school, in line with training requirements for competitive skiers and snowboarders.
We offer multiple programs designed to fit skiers and riders of varying ages and abilities. The teams train 2-5 days per week with additional days over holiday breaks during the winter season. We also offer a full-time combined academic and athletics winter program for students in grades 6-8 and a full-year combined academic and athletics program for students in grades 8-12.
Investment
The investment you make in your child’s training and education will provide significant benefits post graduation. SBA athletes go on to compete in the World Cup, Olympics, World Tour, compete at Division 1 colleges, become leaders in their chosen profession, and serve in their communities.
All program prices include a team jacket and an unrestricted season pass for Sugar Bowl Resort or Royal Gorge.
SBA offers financial aid/scholarships based on financial need and athletic merit.
Admission for Winter and Full Year Programs
Students are accepted on a rolling basis, with priority given to applications received prior to April 1. We encourage families to complete the financial aid application at the same time you complete the SBA application so you have the correct program costs.
Every prospective student must complete an application. Applications are reviewed by the athletics staff and the academics staff. We are able to individualize training and course work for athletes. Our admissions team will work with you to ensure we find the right fit for your child.
