Completed during the 2013-2014 school year, Sugar Bowl Academy's ski-in/ski-out campus is located in the heart of the Sugar Bowl Village atop historic Donner Summit. With world class training venues provided by Sugar Bowl/Royal Gorge right outside our doors, Sugar Bowl Academy's campus provides professional environments for students and staff to live, learn, and train.
Sugar Bowl Academy's state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot academic building houses eight technologically advanced classrooms (two of which are fully equipped science labs), an open resource area where students gather and study during free periods, and administrative offices.
Boarding students live alongside one another and two full time residential staff members in co-ed by floor living arrangements in doubles, triples, or quads. The dormitory also houses a common area with a small kitchen, a student lounge, and a ski storage/tuning room.
Five modular buildings adjacent to the SBA campus house coaches' offices and workspaces, a sports science center, an athletic training room, and ski storage space for day students.
SBA's campus also includes two joint use facilities (shared by Sugar Bowl Academy and Sugar Bowl Corporation) a five minute walk from the school's main campus. SBA's 4,000 square foot Performance Training Center is located in the Sporthaus, an expansive fitness facility for Sugar Bowl Resort homeowners, hotel guests, and Sugar Bowl Academy student-athletes. Adjacent to the Sporthaus is the Village Hall which houses SBA's kitchen, dining room, and assembly area.
